In match no 6 of Major League Cricket, the Los Angeles Knight Riders took on the MI New York at the Grand Prairie Stadium. Both the teams came into this contest with a loss in their previous games & were searching for momentum to get ahead in the tournament.

MI New York won the toss and chose to bat first. In the initial overs, the Knights made the most of the bowling conditions, as Corne Dry & Ali Khan provided quick breakthroughs. The spin-duo of Zampa & Narine, kept things tight in the middle overs as MI NY continued to loose wickets at regular intervals. The LAKR bowlers did not allow the opposition batters to get any momentum in their innings. Despite of Tim David’s efforts, LAKR restricted MI New York to a total of 156 runs.

The LAKR batters never got going in the run-chase as they lost too many wickets at the start. The pitch continued to get difficult to bat , as the MI NY bowlers tightened their grip on the game. In the end, LAKR finished on just 50 runs in the run-chase. The Knights will be looking to bounce back and show character in their next game.
